A three-day tournament is scheduled to attract golfers and tourists during Cambodia’s peak tourism season.

Set against the backdrop of Cambodia’s iconic Angkor Wat region, the Angkor Golf Resort offers world-class facilities, Phokeethra Country Club, and a scenic experience, ideal for both players and spectators.

Location: Angkor Golf Resort & Phokeethra Country Club, Siem Reap, Cambodia

Tournament Format: Amateur stroke play over 18 holes, divided into men’s and women’s divisions, with a maximum of 176 participants.

Opening Ceremony: Inauguration led by the Minister of Tourism

Competition Rounds: Three days of competitive play, featuring morning and afternoon sessions.

Gala Dinner & Awards Ceremony: A celebratory conclusion, with awards for top players, exclusive networking, and cultural performances.
Live band or artist performance to conclude the evening on a celebratory note.

Tournament Format

FormatStroke Play
The tournament will follow the Stroke Play format, where each player’s score is based on the total number of strokes taken to complete 18 holes each day. The player with the lowest cumulative score wins, ensuring fair and competitive play.

Course18 Holes
Set on the scenic and challenging Angkor Golf Resort course, known for its world-class design and unique landscape.

Divisions: Men’s and Women’s
Open to both Men’s and Women’s divisions, encouraging participation across a broad amateur field.

Participants: Approximately 176 Amateur Players
A balanced field of 176 amateur players from ASEAN countries and beyond, offering high-level competition while promoting international sportsmanship and camaraderie.

Danang, 4 April 2025Cambodia has been honored with the prestigious “Best Golf Destination of the Year – Asia” award by the International Association of Golf Tour Operators (IAGTO), the global organization for golf tourism.
